FAQ

What is your communion policy and can I participate?
The Lord’s Supper is celebrated at this congregation in the confession and glad confidence that, as He says, our Lord gives into our mouths not only bread and wine but His very body and blood to eat and to drink for the forgiveness of sins and to strengthen our union with Him and with one another. Our Lord invites to His table those who trust his words, repent of all sin, and set aside any refusal to forgive and love as He forgives and loves us, that they may show forth His death until he comes.

To any who would wish to commune, we would remind them that whoever takes Holy Communion here in so doing confesses the teachings of this congregation (as we are taught in 1 Corinthians 11). If you don’t agree with or don’t know what we teach, we would encourage you to still come to the altar during communion and cross your arms over your chest to receive a Christian blessing. If you have any questions, we encourage you to contact the church office, or to speak with one of our pastors or elders before the service.

Should I give at the offering?
This is an opportunity in our service for us to be able to give back to God out of what He has first given to us.  We do not expect visitors to participate unless they are moved to express thankfulness to God for what He has done. We offer many options for those that wish to give to do so, both in person and online.

Are my children welcome during the worship service?
We welcome parents to bring their children to worship, and we offer activity bags for children with books and coloring pages.

Will I be able to follow along with the service?
We offer an easy-to-follow bulletin containing all of the elements of our traditional services. For our contemporary service, the necessary elements are presented on our video screens.

What should I wear to the service?
There is no dress code for worship—many who come choose to dress up, but many others wear casual clothes.

How can I become a member?
We offer membership classes twice a year, once starting in late September and once starting in January—but no matter what time of the year it is, we would love to meet with you and talk about your involvement at Faith. If you would like more information on membership, we encourage you to contact the church office.
