Barron G. Collier was a businessman who owned a substantial amount of land in the area. He is known as the “founding father” of Collier County.
- It was once part of Lee County
In 1923, Collier County was officially declared and separated from Lee County
- Collier County is the home of the Florida Panther
The Florida Panther is Florida’s official animal, and Collier County is the only area in Florida where these majestic creatures survive.
- Naples was Named after Italy’s Naples
- Collier County has had it share of Hurricanes
Just recently in the past five years (2017 & 2022) Collier County has had two named Hurricanes
Irma & Ian cause severe damage in the area.
- Immokalee was once a major railroad hub
In the early 1900s, Immokalee was the hub of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad.

The church had its beginning on October 6, 1985 when 51 people gathered together for worship in the community room of a bank. On April 21, 1991 the congregation dedicated the church building at its current home, 4150 Goodlette Road North, Collier County, Florida. That means that Collier County has been our home for the past 38 years. But also, we have had that time to better know Jesus Christ and make Him known and been seen as the Family of Faith in this county.
