April 2026 General Update

03.31.26 | Lambs of Faith, Women of Faith, General | by Krystle Adkins

Women of Faith – April 2026

Let me begin by sharing how blessed I feel to be part of the wonderful church family at Faith Lutheran Church. It is a joy to serve alongside my sisters in Christ as we share His love with others—and the love our church returns is truly inspiring. Thanks to the generous support of our congregation, we have donated over $1,050 to LWML Mission Mites during this first Quarter, which help fund district and national mission grants and support LWML programs.

We will also be sending two delegates to the 2026 District Convention, September 18–20. If you are interested in serving as a delegate, please contact Pam Di Sarro as soon as possible, as registration must be completed by May 1st. Please also mark your calendars for the LWML Fall Rally, which will be held here at Faith Lutheran Church on October 17, 2026, at 11:15 a.m. More details will be shared as the date approaches.

As promised, here is a brief recap of the Women’s Retreat in February. God graced us with His Agape Love and provided beautiful weather and a wonderful time together in His Word and fellowship. We welcomed 33 participants on Friday and 27 on Saturday, with a few adventurous ladies even continuing on for a round of mini golf afterward. Friday evening began with a well-attended Praise and Worship service. Through everyone’s support, we are also blessed to make a generous donation to Beverly’s Angels, our retreat guest speaker’s ministry and February Mission of the Month.

The retreat focused on drawing closer to our Lord, building new friendships, and using our gifts for mission-minded acts of service. Many thanks to Faith Schwalbach and her assistants, Skylar and Sofie, for guiding us in such positive and meaningful ways. Beverly’s Angels will celebrate the grand reopening of their headquarters on April 16 after their previous location was destroyed by Hurricane Ian. If you are interested in attending or possibly organizing a group visit, please let Patty Wood know.

Patty also extends her heartfelt thanks to the retreat committee—Krystle Atkins, Cindy Colwell, Shirley Neumann, and Chris Paganes—and to all the women who donated food, time, and effort to make the retreat possible.

The Women’s Spring Tea, held the first Saturday in March, was another lovely gathering. The committee—Mary Ellen Martin, Sonia Ortega, and Patty Wood—organized a relaxing afternoon of fellowship and fun. The event began with a devotion by Mary Runstadler, followed by guest speaker Janet Guenther, who shared about living out Christ’s love in daily life, reflecting especially on Psalm 91. She also shared her business project of resale clothing and how she uses that to raise money for charity donations. As always, the Lutheran potluck tradition did not disappoint—thank you to all the wonderful cooks and bakers who shared their talents.

Looking ahead, we are excited for our Easter Breakfast, led by Pam Di Sarro and Jan Nurenberg. If you receive this Voice Letter in time, please check the signup board outside the Discipleship Room. We look forward to celebrating our risen Lord together on Easter morning.

All women who are members of Faith Lutheran Church are members of Women of Faith, and we warmly welcome new participants at any time. Meetings are typically held on the second Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Discipleship Room. Our final meetings for the season will be April 14 and May 12, after which we will take a summer break and reconvene on August 29 for our Annual Long Range Planning Meeting and breakfast.

We would love to have you join us as we gather for fellowship, service, and encouragement in Christ.

    In Christ’s love,
    Krystle Atkins

    Lambs of Faith

My name is Diana Polifroni and I have been a teacher at Lambs of Faith Preschool for the past two years. Before that I worked the front desk for a year. My daughter attended Lambs of Faith Preschool for Pre-K 3 and VPK. It was during my daughter’s time at the school that I fell in love with the school. The feeling that you get when you step into the school is like being home. The small class sizes and family involvement produce a true family environment that cannot be replicated anywhere in Naples. Now as a teacher at the school, I work to preserve this feeling of home, where each student walking through the doors feels the continuous love and support they need, to grow into lifelong learners. The feeling of home allows our students to explore life, education, and their relationship with Jesus with comfort and love. I was recently on medical leave for the last three months. When I walked back in the doors of Lambs of Faith, I felt my body take a deep breath and relax because I was back home with my Faith Lutheran and Lambs of Faith family. Thank you for being such a special place in my life and the lives of so many children.
