Meet the Teacher!
02.01.26 | Lambs of Faith | by Camryn Fish
My name is Camryn Fish, also known as Miss Camy, and I am the 3 year old teacher at Lambs of Faith Preschool. I was baptized and went through confirmation at Faith Lutheran Church as well as attended preschool here at LOF. Faith Lutheran has always felt like a second home to me and I am so blessed to continue the family legacy working in the preschool, following in the footsteps of my late Grandmother Nancy Fish.
To celebrate all of the amazing women I work with in the preschool, as well as all women of faith, I wanted to share the perspective I have in terms of Women in the eyes of God, and the meaning for us women being created in His vision. God created women with deep purpose and intentionality, shaping them as an essential and beautiful reflection of His character.
Women are often referred to as gardens. In Scripture, God calls children seeds. A man plants a seed in soil, and the soil is the earth. Adam was formed from the earth, made from soil. Eve came from Adam’s rib. And why the rib? Because to create a garden, you first need soil. God took what He had already formed, Adam (the soil) and from him He made Eve, (the garden).
But a garden is not complete without seeds being planted. Men plant seeds in women, and women nurture and grow that seed into life, bearing fruit in the form of a child. The woman becomes the vessel through which the seed grows.
Yet a seed cannot grow on its own. It needs water and light. And who is Jesus? He is the living water and the light of the world.
From the very beginning, women were designed not only to nurture and bring life into the world but also to embody compassion, wisdom, and inner strength. God instilled in women a unique capacity to love deeply, to persevere through challenges, and to offer comfort and understanding in times of hardship. Their ability to balance gentleness with resilience, and empathy with courage, reflects divine craftsmanship at its finest. Women reveal God's love through their presence and purpose. How divine and miraculous that us women carry so many Godly qualities, and that there is so much evidence that God truly lives in our hearts!
The women who teach at Lambs of Faith play an important and meaningful role in God’s eyes. Through their love, patience, and dedication, they bring God’s love into the classroom each day, creating a safe and nurturing environment for children to grow. By teaching the kids about Jesus, they help plant seeds of faith, kindness, and compassion that can last a lifetime. Their work is not only teaching lessons, but serving God by guiding young hearts closer to Him. I am so thankful to work alongside these amazing women everyday and witness the children grow their relationships with Jesus!
