Call Committee Update
Dear Faith Family,
A small update on the progress of the call committee. We submitted additional paperwork to the bishop at his request. We are now waiting to receive candidates to review. Please continue to pray that the Lord brings us HIS choice for our congregation. We would also appreciate your prayers for our committee. I will keep you updated as we continue to progress through this process.

Trunk or Treat is scheduled for Friday October 27th from 6 pm to 9 pm.
We will be showing the movie Toy Story 2 from 7 – 9. Popcorn and Water will be served. We will also have a Pizza truck “Loud Italian” in the church parking from 6 to 8. (They have gluten free pizza too!) Don’t forget to decorate your car or truck and bring enough candy for 75 to 100 children!
Thanks

grace place
Grace Place was our Mission of the Month for August, so you know what a wonderful facility this is for the Golden Gate City community. Thank you so much for your generosity! They are very grateful. I have been asked to serve on their Faith Council and Pastor Hildebtandt will be our pastoral representative. It consists of a representative and pastoral representative from 15 churches and a representative from the Jewish community. Every month Colleen, the volunteer coordinator, sends out a communication that shows the needs and volunteer opportunities for the upcoming months. This will become a monthly article in The Voice. This is a wonderful way to stay connected to Grace Place and really get involved in community outreach. Please consider helping out. You will be very impressed with the campus and its impact on the neighborhood. If interested in a tour please contact me.

School is in session and that means that Grace Place’s after-school programs are in full swing! We need a lot more classroom assistants for our elementary and middle school programs, as well as tutors for our high schoolers.
In addition to the school age programs, we are still in need of many adult English teachers! Classes are once a week, in either the morning or the evening. No experience necessary!
Do you have a skill that you’d like to teach to a group of middle schoolers? We’d love to have you teach one of our Choice Academies! This is a multi-week opportunity where a volunteer comes in twice a week to teach a class to students, finishing with a showcase!
