You are invited to read the Bible with us!
Have you ever wanted to read the whole Bible, but you don’t know how to start? Or have you read the whole Bible before, but you want to again? If so, we have an exciting new opportunity at Faith for you!
Starting in November, we are going to start a “Bible in a Year” group. Everyone in this group will be given a daily reading plan, which will include a daily reading from the Old Testament, the New Testament, and Psalms/Proverbs—around 3–4 pages in a normal Bible. Every Tuesday evening (starting on November 3rd) we will meet over Zoom from 7:30–8:30 PM; during these sessions we will discuss the readings from the previous week and prepare for the readings for the coming week.
This is an exciting opportunity, but it is also a singular opportunity: it will probably be several years until we do something like this again, so if you’re interested, this is your chance—don’t try to put it off until next year. Sign up now! Please reach out to Pastor Duncan if you have any questions.

I'm an old-timer at Lambs of Faith Preschool. My grand-daughter was four years old the first year I started as a teacher's aid, and now she is twenty seven years old. Lambs of Faith is like a second home to me, and is somewhere I look forward to coming each day. This year I'm working in the three year old classroom with Miss Camy, who is the lead teacher. She was in my four year old class as a student, and now she is teaching me about technology. In our classroom of three year olds, it can take several months before the children pick up on the school routine. They are like little sponges and are quick to learn the class prayers and the Pledge of Allegiance, which always puts a smile on my face. It is rewarding to see the different milestones that they reach throughout the year.
I have been very blessed to have two of my great-grandchildren as students in my class as well. This year one is in the four year old classroom here at Lambs of Faith, while the other is in first grade. I feel very thankful for the love and fellowship of the preschool and the church. Everyone truly cares and supports each other like one big family. I always feel very warm and welcomed when I come here. It is a true blessing.

During the COVID pandemic, I told my two daughters, “Woah! They closed Disney World!” My younger daughter, who was 4 years old at the time, was horrified and replied, “But Rapunzel is inside!!!” Hearing about the world from a child’s perspective can be pretty hilarious, but as we look at the world from an adult’s perspective, there really does seem to be a lot to fear, especially in October – just look at those Costco Halloween decorations, not to mention the news! Scary movies and books abound in October as well. The Bible even has some scary stories – Noah and the flood, David and Goliath, Daniel in the lions’ den, and Jonah and the big fish, just to name a few! Unlike the Costco decorations and the news however, these Bible stories are timeless, and they teach us an eternal lesson: God saves. Even when our sin is the thing that scares us most, He saves us from that too. These are the lessons my students are learning in our VPK classroom this month by reading the Bible stories mentioned above. Things can get pretty scary out there (for me, it’s sending my older daughter to the University of Chicago this fall!), but God has had a rescue plan for us from the beginning. What scares you most? Have you brought it to God yet? That’s what our students are learning to do. Life won’t always be easy, – just look at Noah, David, Daniel, and Jonah – but He promises to be with us and to love us through it all. In the midst of learning our letters and numbers, meeting community helpers, making shape monsters, and preparing to trick-or-treat at Acrisure this month, this Bible lesson is a big one for little ones, but one of the most important. My hope is that it is one they will cherish their whole life long because when we look at the world from a Christian perspective, we have nothing to fear, for Christ has overcome the world (John 16:33).

Women of Faith – October 2026
We are off to a wonderful start to a new year of Women of Faith, and I’d like to begin by sharing a heartfelt thank you to everyone who was able to join us for our Women of Faith Long-Range Planning Meeting and Potluck Breakfast.
A very special thank you goes to everyone who brought a dish to share. Your generosity, gifts, and talents were truly a blessing, and they helped make our time together even more special. It was such a joy to gather, share a meal, enjoy fellowship, and look ahead to the year God has placed before us.
For those who weren’t able to join us, please know that your presence was missed! We hope you’ll be able to join us at one of our upcoming gatherings. Women of Faith is blessed by each and every woman who is part of our church family, and there is always a place for you among us.
If you did not receive a copy of the meeting minutes and would like to, please reach out to Pam Di Sarro or me, and we’ll be happy to add you to our list.
Our next regular monthly meeting will be Tuesday, October 13th, at 5:30 p.m. in the Discipleship Room. We have some special events and opportunities coming up that you won’t want to miss, so be sure to keep an eye on the church bulletins and the church sign-up board next to the Discipleship Room for more information.
Thank you again for being part of Women of Faith. May God continue to bless our fellowship, guide our plans, and use each of our gifts and talents to serve Him and share His love with others.
With Christian love,
Krystle Atkins - President, Women of Faith
