The Women of Faith and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League would like to thank you for your prayers and support over the past year. Because of your support at our events, we are blessed to help support the missions we chose for 2023, such as:
-Patty Wood’s mission to Nepal with Canopy Global
-Creating Hope with Dorizel Groth in providing scholarship funds to high school graduates in Nicaragua and school supplies for the lower grades
-Support for our “Itchin’ to Stitch” group to purchase materials to sew for LWML
-Shadowlawn Elementary School supplies for the beginning of the 2023 school year in August and in December, uniforms to be distributed to the children in need
-St Louis Lutheran Seminary Food Bank
-Providence House. A faith-based shelter for women and children who are situationally
homeless
-LWML continues to collect mites 1st Sunday of each month which are sent to
to the Florida/Georgia District. Nationally, LWML supports many missions, grants and
scholarships. We also hosted the Zone Rally at our church in October.
Sadly, Mary Opland, our Treasurer, is stepping down from her position to spend more time with their young grandchildren in Minnesota. We are seeking a woman from the congregation to take on this position. If you are interested, please contact Mary or me. Mary will be available to give all the necessary information.
God’s Blessings to you all in this New Year!
Mary Ellen Martin, President
